A MESSAGE OF THANKS
We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Jed Hoile for his dedication, commitment, vision, leadership, ideas and enthusiasm in his role as Chairman for the last 4 years. Jed has provided great continuity from the Spring Garden days and without his guidance and support the board would definitely not be in such great shape as it is today. Jed will not be retiring from the local arts scene and is eagerly looking forward to using St John's for rehearsing and performing with the Vitae Drummmers and Africa Junction. We may also consider embarking on another Winterdrum venture with Jed in the future. Jackie, Matthew and Mike especially send Jed the very best wishes and will sincerely miss him at future boardmeetings.

Thanks also for Jackie Crabtree for her hard work as Treasurer over the last 4 years. Jackie has passed the baton on to Liz Charleston. Thanks Liz!

At the AGM Mike Watson was voted in as Acting Chair to replace Jed. Mike has also been proposed and seconded as the new Chairman. We also invite nominations from members for the role of Chair and willtake a vote should other nominations be received. The closing date for nominations is 17th April2009. In the event of other nominations the closing date for voting is 29th April. If nominations are notreceived Mike will become Chair on 18th April.
