West African Drumming

Vitae Drum Circle -------- Drumming for Everyone

Led by Justine Hart

Justine brings 10 years of experience in West African drumming to her classes, players are shown the rhythms and patterns in the aural tradition in the same way Justine learned these from her Griot teachers in Africa.

This is a very rewarding pastime, encouraging both knowledge in African music and the sheer fun of playing as part of a group or as a solo player.

Weekly African Drumming Workshops.

We play West African rhythms and songs on Djembe and Dun Dun, there is also some opportunity for African Dance at the classes

Drums available to hire if you don't have one.

These are ongoing workshops and so can be joined any week.

The classes usually continue through the school holidays. It is advisable to call if coming for the first time.
